Speech Pathology for Children 0-12 years , Gold Coast QLD

Welcome to Coastal Paediatric Therapy

  • Speech and Language Intervention

Is your little one having trouble with speech sounds? It can be frustrating when they struggle to say words clearly, and we’re here to help! At Coastal Paediatric Therapy, our friendly and experienced team are trained to diagnose and treat speech sound disorders, phonological delays, and orofacial myology disorders. That is terminology for difficulty saying the sounds in words.

Language is more than just words—it's how we use them to express ourselves and understand others. If your child is mixing up their sentences or seems to have trouble grasping what you’re saying, they might be struggling with expressive or receptive language.

Our mission is to support your child in achieving clear, confident speech. We understand how important communication is for your child’s happiness and success, and we’re dedicated to making the journey fun and effective.

  • Early Intervention

It is never too early to seek advice from a Speech Pathologist. Early communication milestones are key to your child’s development. If your child isn’t using words yet, seeking advice from a speech pathologist promptly is crucial.

At Coastal Paediatric Therapy, we believe that early intervention can prevent future challenges in behaviour, learning, reading, and social skills. Our team works closely with parents and caregivers, providing the tools needed to support your child's journey to speaking their first words.

Concerned about your child’s communication? It’s never too early to start.

  • Specialised Therapies

Some children use Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) like sign language or communication devices to express themselves. At Coastal Paediatric Therapy, we can assess if an AAC system would benefit your child and help you both become proficient in using it effectively.

Additionally, if your child struggles with trying new foods or has mealtime challenges, feeding therapy might be beneficial. We take a holistic approach to address oral motor skills and sensory preferences, using methods like the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to support your child’s eating habits.
