Brooke Porter
Brooke is an enthusiastic and dedicated early-career Speech Pathologist who has recently embarked on her professional journey at Coastal Paediatric Therapy. Having worked as a Therapy Assistant with us while completing her university studies, Brooke has now transitioned into her role as a Speech Pathologist, bringing both valuable experience and a deep understanding of our clients' needs.
Brooke has a genuine passion for functional communication and is committed to achieving the best outcomes for both the children and families she works with. She takes a holistic approach, focusing on the unique needs of each child while collaborating closely with families to ensure that therapy is meaningful, practical, and impactful. Her goal is always to support the development of communication skills that can be applied to everyday life, helping her clients engage confidently and successfully with the world around them.
Brooke’s areas of interest include Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), motor speech disorders, disability, and feeding. She is particularly passionate about using evidence-based practices to support children in these areas and is always exploring innovative strategies to enhance her clients’ communication and overall well-being.
Brooke completed her Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Southern Cross University and has quickly put her academic knowledge into practice. She is driven by a passion for learning and is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices to continuously provide high-quality care.
Outside of work, Brooke enjoys a variety of hobbies that allow her to relax and recharge. She loves reading, camping with her friends and family, watching the sunrise, and staying active through Pilates and yoga. These activities provide her with balance and help her nurture her own well-being while deepening her connections with loved ones.
